World NGO Day is observed on 27 February every year. The day is celebrated to recognize, celebrate and honor the goal and contributions of these organizations.
The day is dedicated to recognizing, celebrating and honoring all non-governmental and non-profit organizations and also the people behind them that contribute the society.
Any non profit organization that operates independently of the government is considered a non-governmental organization. The day was observed first time on 27 February, 2014.
This event encourges participation by others by raising awareness of the issue. On this day, volunteers and supporters from all over the world come together to celebrate and recognize the objectives of NGO’s.
The day offers a chance to draw attention to these causes, particular those that are humanitarian. It is an opportunity to honor the charitable people who support NGO success worldwide is presented by this day.
Over 89 nations across the world participate in first World NGO day celebration.
